Think globally, Make a difference – Become a Rotary Scholar

Rotarians in District 9705 regularly support students who wish to pursue postgraduate coursework or research overseas.

In 2024, one scholarship of USD 30,000 is on offer for a student studying a course that fits within one or more of the following fields:

• Supporting education

• Fighting disease

• Growing local economies

• Protecting the environment

• Saving mothers and children

• Promoting peace

• Providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene

Good to know upfront

Scholarships are only awarded for study in a different country.

Applicants must be proficient in the language of that country.

Applicants must show proof of admission to the chosen university before a scholarship can be awarded.

There is no restriction on holding other scholarships alongside a Rotary scholarship.

Preference may be given to applicants who live, work or study within Rotary District 9705.

Rotarians and their family members are ineligible to apply.

The successful applicant is expected to participate in Rotary activities before, during and after the

scholarship.
