Rotary Youth Exchange Program

Rotary Youth Exchange builds peace one young person at a time.

The Rotary District 9705 Youth Exchange Program offers a unique opportunity for young Australians to:

• develop lifelong leadership skills
• experience first-hand another country’s culture, way of life, and language
• build lasting friendships
• become a global citizen.

Our District's program is registered with the New South Wales Education Department and Australian Capital Territory Education Directorate to provide a secondary high school Student Exchange Program.

The District 9705 Rotary Youth Exchange Program Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about providing opportunities for secondary school students to experience a year abroad.

The program's committee selects and trains outbound students from throughout our District and prepares them for their experience in partnership with our Rotary Clubs who sponsor the successful students.

In addition, our District hosts inbound students from our partner countries with the support of our Rotary Clubs, who host the students and arrange the host families.
