For two years now the Rotary Club of Nowra have been combining with Shoalhaven High School, Bunnings and the PCYC to run a Youth Life Skills program. The program runs for 4 weeks and during this time students learn skills which will help them in thir future lives and improve their self-esteem.
| For the second year the Rotary Club of Nowra have been running a Youth Lifeskills program for students from Shoalhaven High School. The program is a joint initiative with Nowra Rotary, Bunnings, PCYC and Shoalhaven High School. Students from the school attend a 4 weeks masterclass at the Nowra Bunnings where they are taught by Bunnings staff. The program is aimed to equip youths with basic handyman skills and give them the confidence to undertake household tasks, such as repairing holes in plasterboard, painting, cleaning and yard maintenance. The program has now been run with several groups of students having completed the training. |
